Camillus MedHaven embraces the principles of the Eden alternative way of life for the elderly, where quality of life has primary importance. Equipped with simple but comfortable amenities that veer away from the impersonal and “institutionalized” type of nursing services provided by western-oriented nursing homes, Camillus MedHaven:

• Provides a home away from home for the elderly and persons with disabilities and chronic ailments

• Advocates for and practiced the distinctly Filipino cultural modes of caring in elderly care

• Fosters “family-like” relationship, at the heart of which is the elderly person in a total environment that is warm, clean, green and familiar

• Nurtures caring relationships among the elderly residents, staff, volunteers and students in a team-lead management system

• Ensures spiritual and emotional nurturing by seminarians, brothers and priests who are members of the Order of the Ministers of the Infirm, which manages the place.

All these distinctly comprise the daily spirituality at Camillus MedHaven, carried out in daily ministry, the Camillian way.

Community-based Rehabilitation Program

Organized in 2005 and in partnership with Liliane Foundation, the community-based rehabilitation program of Camillus MedHaven holds the vision that persons with disabilities are self-reliant, imbued with self-respect and positive attitudes and have improved quality of life.

Given this above vision, the Camillus MedHaven community-based rehabilitation program undertakes the following twin objectives:

1. To facilitate for the accessibility and availability of resources towards the effective physical and social rehabilitation of persons with disabilities, paying special attention to those children of urban poor families in Marikina City

2. To form, educate and organize persons with disabilities and their families and to advocate for the equalization of economic and social opportunities.

To carry out the above objectives, we run and operate the following programs and services:
