Distribution of PPEs during the CoVid19 Pandemic

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is used by health personnel and other frontliners to protect themselves and patients under their care. It is an important covering in today’s fight against Covid-19 disease and because of the present crisis, there is a shortage of PPE.

The Camillians are grateful to the generous collaborators, donors and sponsors for donating PPE, medicine and medical supplies, hygiene kits and other necessary commodities. May the Lord, the source of all goodness, shower upon you and your families His choicest blessings:

  • Cleanfit Technologies International Inc. led by Mr. and Mrs. Greg Aguila
  • Zero2peak Enterprises, Inc.,
  • Magdalo MJF Lions Club (District 301-A2) led by Pres. Sol Flores
  • Department of Health
  • Unilab for the medicines and vitamins
  • National Grid Corporation
  • all donors who donated cash – the Camillians were able to buy PPE (facemasks, gloves, infrared thermometers and alcohol) for their healthcare frontliners and additional food groceries for their adopted urban poor communities.

PPE, hygiene kits, and other goods were distributed on March 23, March 27, and March 30, 2020 to the Camillian Socio-Health Institutions and partner hospitals and to the Camillian-adopted communities.

From the 4th week of March until April 2, 2020 the Lay Camillian Family (LCF) under Our Lady of La Paz Parish, Makati reached out by providing face shields and other protective equipment to the community frontliners (food vendors in the market; police and security guards; quarantine checkpoint volunteers and barangay volunteers) and medical frontliners (doctors, nurses, medical technologists, maintenance personnel, and hospital administrative staff).

The Camillians distributed PPE and essential commodities to partner companies and churches on April 6, 2020. The Diocese of Malolos was one of the recipients. The next day, April 7, 2020, St. Camillus Medical Center in Pasig and St. Camillus Polyclinic-Makati received additional PPE.

On April 13, 2020, the PPE were shipped to St. Camillus Hospital of Calbayog and St. Camillus Hospital of Mati. These hospitals were badly in need of the PPE.

The Camillians handed out PPE and essential commodities to Camillus Medhaven in Marikina and St. Camillus Medical Center in Pasig City on April 17, 2020. Incidentally, the elderly residents at Camillus Medhaven shared their love to our healthcare frontliners by creating face shields for them.

The Camillians thank the beloved frontliners in all Camillian Socio-Health Institutions: St Camillus Medical Center(Pasig), St. Camillus Hospital of Calbayog, St. Camillus Hospital of Mati, Camillus Medhaven Nursing Home, St. Camillus Polyclinic-Makati). They are living out St. Camillus’ wish “to have a hundred arms in order to do much more for the sick” because of their sacrifices, hard work and love.

Let us continue to work together in witnessing the ever-present love of God to the sick especially during this Covid-19 pandemic.
