Amidst the Covid-19 pandemic that keeps the metro and other cities under the enhanced community quarantine until May 15, 2020, the Camillians’ first response is prayer. It is through prayer that most people find comfort in these trying times and feel God’s love and mercy. Thanks to social media that people can still pray and participate together in the celebration of the Holy Eucharist.
The faithful are invited to join the Camillians in prayer as they celebrate the Holy Eucharist online through their Facebook page, The Camillians. Masses are live streamed daily at 7:00am. There is also Sunday Mass at 5:00pm. The Eucharistic adoration is also held on Saturdays at 6:00pm.
Those who want to offer Mass intentions may do so by commenting on their Facebook page with the following hashtags: #forthegiftoflife, #forthecompletehealing, #forthesouls, and #forthespecialintention. All Mass intentions are read before the Mass starts.
Religious gatherings and public masses are currently banned in churches but the ministry of evangelization continues to keep the faith in God and preach the gospel.
Aside from the Holy Eucharist, the Camillians keep their line of communication open through the Facebook Messenger app to provide mental and spiritual health counseling to medical frontliners and individuals with suspect, probable and confirmed cases of Covid-19. The Camillian fathers and brothers are ready to talk to them and give them hope and comfort during their difficult situation.
